Actually this bill would take the $4 billion allocated to fixing aging VA infrastructure (like old hospitals and clinics) and divert $2 billion of that into the choice program. This will in turn increase the downward spiral of the VA system. It's the same failed thinking that Betsy Devos the education secretary spouted when she said that taking money away from public school districts and giving it to private schools makes the public schools better. Doesn't work that way.

Thank you Colonel for the insight, I figured that there was more to this. Not that I support what Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats do in general but I didn't think they would be as boneheaded as Fox News makes them out to be.

No. I served under 3 Presidents (don't think that I'm justifying anything, I don't have to and don't care) Reagan, Bush and Clinton. If you think that it has an impact, discussion over. I served under both parties. I was also born, raised (mostly) and joined in California. I was born a stone's throw from her area and still have a lot of family, mostly lifetime Democrats who share my feelings. If I am over reacting, I apologize and beg your forgiveness brother. I simply don't stand on political parties. Hope this is not overkill Ed.
