All very valid points. It's excellent for home defense. Penetration through walls, is really my biggest concern with it.
What say you? ... is the AR15 a good choice for home/self defense?

There are very few situations in which I would not want an AR platform. Personally because of proximity to where I sleep a pistol is what I would probably use, but it's not like there are any real bad choices for shooting intruders.
