Dad needs to get his butt out there and cook and do laundry as well. Guess what *THEN* happens? Mega dad then learns to suddenly foster responsibility amongst the kids. Soon, they're cleaning their own rooms, doing their own homework, clearing their own plates, etc. And NO...they don't get allowance either. Do I get paid for emptying the trash? Nope. Want extra money? Get good grades. $5 for every A, $4 for every B, $3 for every C. If you moved up a grade, you get an extra $5.

Married 30 years. 27 year old boy, 23 year old girl, 20 year old girl.

I do 1 through 3. Our daughter is 18 and can put herself to bed, and my wife and I do not share religious beliefs. I work from home, so I have the time to do most of the house work and stuff, unfortunately everything that my wife can cook comes from a box so I handle the cooking. We each have our own little spaces in the house, mine is the detached garage and a room off that, her's a room in the basement that I finished with it's own bathroom with a GIANT tub. We made an agreement that we would stay out of each other's spaces unless it was an emergency or was invited. It works when we each need some space or time to ourselves.
