US senators introduce new war authorization with no expiration date

This is the best news I've heard in years. An indefinite AUMF will send the message to our enemies that we will do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to defeat them. It sends the message that if they are captured and sent to the US military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, that it may be the last place they visit on earth. According to the Geneva Conventions and Law of Land Warfare, even lawful combatant POW's "may be held until the end of hostilities." Think about what this would mean to an unlawful combatant Islamist who wants to kill us. Fill it up, Mr. President! Until all Islamists are dead or no longer have the means or will to kill us we must defend ourselves by any means necessary.
