Disconcerting, what should be done will vex the alliance for some time to come

No, I have not.
Guess I better do my research.
I know in general from the time of the Ottoman Empire they have been warriors and conquerors. And Nostradamus eludes to a battle occurring in our time, on the Turkish, Armenian border, between the city of ghosts and lake lehmon. But I guess I have never thought of them as a military force. At least not one we would ever worry about. I thought the biggest US concern out of Turkey were the hackers sitting in Cypress.

MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi as the saying goes, it's the things you don't know that can hurt the most. Yikes...
My only experience was with at the receiving end of a slue of highly skilled cyber attacks against EIG.
We pointed DNS away from the affected sites in order to repair ( redesign) the affected sites. Pointed away there is no way they should have been able to access the sites, yet once redirected and republished, instead if our redesign the landing page was a hand flipping a bird, an American kid smoking a joint and the words F...U Admin in Wide Bold font. They attacked from inside our own shell.
Digital Tracks placed the attackers in Cypress, and coding language in CSS source was Turkish.

Then went on for a while when we killed the internet public lines into the region, but the ruling government still had access.

EIG owns and controls most of the lines globally that constitute the internet.

MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi If I can ever get the right ears to open, I can tell you how to mitigate and or eliminate the three types of attack which currently have the greatest effect on industry and economy.
Thank you Sir, for your comments and participation.

I do appreciate the banter as well as the information. :)

Erin Nelson - We have been working with Turkish SOF for long time in Afghanistan- great folks - tough and know the business well. Turkish military history in the modern age starts really at the end of WW1 - and the defeat of the Greek Army in Turkey. And then there is Korea.. and the legends created in that war that is a level close to mythology in what they did. Turkey has the largest military in European NATO... and its a bad thing for them to be seeing the US as an enemy. If you do some reading on this - and the way its coming about - one can point a finger at one man who has done more to destroy so much in Turkey.. and just happens to be in charge right now.

It was perhaps invpevitable...the only way is to seek to stamp out that pine of thought altogether...he same Communist/Fascist sociologic process that affects qoo countries is clearly starting there, the only thing to do is containment, till it burns itself out, or the population outgrows it...it's a form of mass sociologic psychosis that affects every country at various points in its socioevpconomic evolution, there are no exceptions, all one can do, as I'd said, contain it, as I perceive the matter....
