As the good LTC Stephen Curlee, points out...

“If he is executed, it would be the first death sentence carried out by the U.S. military since 1961. An execution would likely take place at the United States Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana — the same facility where, in 2001, terrorist Timothy McVeigh was executed for the bombing of a federal building in Oklahoma City in 1995.”

Not gonna happen.

COL Charles Williams: I am not for the death penalty. And, that is a very hard stance to take sometimes; when I see results of what some criminals have done.

In recent times, I've valued the option of the death penalty like my gun when I'm traveling about off duty: the weapon of last resort. It's not something I take lightly and I do appreciate it when the court takes their time before coming down to a determination that the death penalty will be utilized.
