Army leaders will announce on Friday that they have chosen Austin, Texas, as the location for a new command headquarters that will focus on how to modernize the service and prepare for future wars, U.S. officials said.

Austin is a little on the pricey side by Texas standards, but if they want to be in a tech heavy area it's a good spot. We head up there every other month or so when we need a break from San Antonio. It's crowded as hell but it's a fun city. Great food and great music. We were actually up there just last week for Willie Nelson's annual 4th of July music festival. I doubt they will have positions for a PT but I would absolutely love to be stationed there. It looks like they're only expecting to have 500 or so people stationed there. I wonder if they'll have their own mini-post or if they'll put something at Camp Mabry, where the TX National Guard HQ is.
