Happens every time here at the shop, say there's someone from corperate coming, and things are in a tizzy for two days prior.

When I was a young deck SN, we were getting a visit by a flag officer. I told him as he was walking along the decks in his whites, to not brush up against the bulkhead, as the paint was still wet. He asked me why it was wet, and I, honestly but stupidly as I found out later, told him it was because he was coming for a visit! My Chief really didn't like me for awhile after that....
