What is QAnon, the conspiracy theory group showing up to Trump rallies?

I distrust anyone who claims to have secret knowledge of certain conspiracies. That makes them a conspirator as well.

The internet has no shortage of "fun" that can impact the real world. It's not that conspiracy theories and rumors are anything new. They probably have been around as long as we have been able to speak to each other. The thing that the internet does is give them a platform for wide distribution and to appear credible as people put a lot of time to make them appear legitimate.

The Star and National Enquirer people have now gained mainstream political power. I'm not sure how much trouble that puts us in, but probably a bit.
