Looks like in order for this to work properly the pan must be sealed so the smoke goes all the way to the other end then reverses itself over the top of whatever is being smoked. I think this would produce less heat, use more wood and take longer than the traditional heat flow....? I think i would stay traditional...Then there is the "Bradley".....! I have this one...It is not the latest model but is awesome. Set it and forget it...I have been changed

***You can take the racks out and cut dowels to hang sausage...They come out real nice!
