Why is the government in the school loan program? Couldn't banks provide loans?

SPC Chris Ison How does the Government guarantee payment? I missed that in the Constitution.

You are kind of dense huh? How did you ever make Light Colonel? Congress passed a law. There is more to this country than the Constitution. The Constitution is the ULTIMATE law of the land, not the only law of the land. If it were, there would be no state or local laws.

You know article 1 section 8 of the constitution says that the army can only be funded for 2 years at a time? It also grants congress the right to keep and maintain a Navy. But you know what it doesn't do? It doesn't give the federal government the right to keep and maintain an army. That is what the second amendment is for. The Constitution says that the "police power" should be in the hands of the state militias. How did we ever get a permanent army? Simple congress passed a law. You really should try to keep up.

SPC Chris Ison Well, I'm sure you are correct being a SPC. I'll defer to your vast knowledge in financial systems.

LTC (Join to see) - We call that an "Ad Hominem attack." But i have a doctorate degree. Do you? Yeah I thought not. You make an assumption that because I am a specialist i have to be dumb. But i was national guard soldier that not only doesn't care, but actually welcomes career privates. It costs the state less to maintain a full duty roster. I was never RIFed. I only have 10 years of service. With two breaks in service, where i spent two 3 year enlistments, in jobs i was not duty MOSQ for, so could not be promoted. In my first unit, My daughter was born with Tricuspid Atresia, before i could go to MOSQ School, and so i asked my unit to not send me so i could, instead, spend the first months of my daughters life in the hospital with her. When it became apparent that I would not make a career of the military due to familial obligations, i told my unit i would not need to attend MOSQ school. I rejoined after 9/11, and i was set to go to MOSQ school until we got deployed, and that was canceled. I was wounded in Iraq, and that prevented me from continuing my service as i now have a 3 profile in the U category of my pulhes. See we call this "walking a mile in their shoes before judging" but i see 23 years of failed service, as every COLONEL i know in the service got there in 20 years. SO you must have been RIFed.

Rank has nothing to do with intelligence. I did not attack you because of your rank, i attacked you because you are stupid!

And you are now pissed that a specialist understands the Constitution better than you do, and that hurts your little snowflake officer feelings. You proved that when you had to sink to my level, and i roped you right into it didn't I? Yup, thank you for proving my point.

It was always funny to me how "tact" in the military was really used to prevent specialist and privates, who knew more than the NCO's and officers, from outshining them.

Everyone likes to think the military is a meritocracy but it isn't. I spent 2 years in a CEWI unit, where the lower enlisted had graduate degrees, and some doctorate degrees, while being led by failed academics.

We used to joke in the Navy, "It takes a college degree to break, and a GED to fix it."

Thank you.

See this:

"Right beside your name is the word FORBES, indicating the source, perhaps yore google is broke." MCPO Roger Collins

That is you IMPLYING that i am stupid, and incapable of finding information on my own. Which to me, is an insult.

So yeah thanks, again, for proving my point.

Tell me snowflake, are your feelings hurt?

SPC Chris Ison Snowflakes don’t normally serve in the military over 20 years. They get their credentials verified and have a consistent set of military insignia. I do not debate unverified, potential trolls.

Yup that is me, Trolling till the last. Tell me if i was a troll why would i be honest about an article 15 and demotion from E-4 to E-3?

If i were a troll why would i Be honest about being a career private?

There are a shit ton of snowflakes in the military, and you are living proof they can do over 20 years because they can't do anything else.

Yeah, that is me, you got me, I am a troll and i have "stolen valor".

Just another way for you t try and deflect from your inability to put together a sound argument.

FYI, you may think you are using "tough love" and that your son somehow deserves to bake in student loan debt. But where i come form, that just makes you an asshole.

parents are supposed to help their children, not get pissed at them for trying to better themselves.
