Staff I fully understand your sentiment, but this IS America. You're going to find a dumbass not under every rock around, but on top of them. I like the notion that they've come out of the shadows, so we ALL get to see what we think isn't there, yet is all around us. He doesn't represent all of the white folks I know. He represents his own dumb ass.

Probably is legitamite. But what we don't see is the conversations prior to him not letting them in.
Who said what? Could have been worse formthe guy with the gun? Could have been trash talk from the guys trying to get in...Either way in my opinion the guy should have never pulled his gun...it should have never been in the equation. This guy could have handled it in a whole other way than the way he did.

I wouldn't have let anyone in without a key especially that time of the morning. I would have told them that I can't let you in but if you have a friend coming to get you then he can let you in but I don't know any of you and you don't have access so just sit tight and wait for him. He can vouch you in. He didn't have to escalate it the way he did.

I didn't particularly care for the twitter dcomments "These are the kind of people that are burning Nike products". Not all people that are boycotting Nike are jerks like this guy...people don't need to make generalizations like that.

Sir except the kids made it known that they are authorized access to the building. Had this been "fair" and no one got in, that would easily be explained. The issue is while the kids were being told they cannot come in, one is waving a key, the blonde kid who knows no one walks on like it's nothing both in the outer door, and onto the elevator. The blonde kid even stood behind the man with the gun and walked right back out, no problem.
I agree that at certain times, it would be sketchy to allow kids into a building. You don't know them, and you might be all that separates a situation from happening, but in this case the children did not provoke the situation, escalate the situation, and a random kid comes and goes with not even a blink of the eye? If you're gonna tell one group they get no access, don't let anyone get it. You can see the blonde man had no issues at all. If it truly was that serious (and the man had LOADS of time), do like everyone else and call the cops. Apparently in this case the kids were legit (they weren't arrested), and the adult is in trouble for flashing that weapon.
