Thanks for the link to the article. It is quite interesting.
This appears to be a continuation and update to methods used in the past for holographic imaging and the camera truck panning techniques used to create such images.

3D printing has tremendous value, in the right hands. Of course with that technology available, comes risk "the other side " can also take advantage of.
All in all, rewards outweigh the risks.

Point: 3D printing technology has tremendous value.
Relates to article: It is commented within the article comments section, and implied that it supports the printing of the Rosetta Stone, so it can be be available for study for the masses.
I'm not writing for a history paper so I didn't feel necessary to stick to APA format. It's Saturday morning, I read an interesting article and felt like posting more than "interesting article" for the 100 Trail Blazer points.
