On January 3, 1870, construction began on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. It was completed May 24, 1883.

Does this bridge look similar to the Brooklyn Bridge, SGT (Join to see)?! It should, because it was Roebling's "practice" for building the Brooklyn Bridge. It's the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge in Cincinnatii and was the longest suspension bridge until the completion of the Brooklyn Bridge!
I lived in Cincinnati for seven years, and crossed the Ohio River on this bridge into Covington, KY many times!

Drove over it many times...it was an engineering feat for its time and a number of people died getting it erected.
