Hate being "first", but the first two have been talked about for years. I knew pure programmers in the Air Force who had to crosstrain being their MOS was on the way out. I would still tell someone to get their PMP and a Lean Sigma cert because it'll never really go out of style, and some are more suited towards managing than being the tech.

Agreed. The IT world is making people do more. One trick ponies either learn more crafts or become dinosuars.
