SSG Warren Swan As a young E-2 / 3 at Ft Knox in 1953, while living on the bottom bunk in wooden barracks, I went downstairs one morning for a ‘call of nature’.

There was an 8 foot long urinal trough and ? 6 johns.

When I saw a female sitting on one of the johns, I fled and went to another barracks!

While I want to laugh at that mental image, when I got to Ft. McNair in 94, we still had open everything in the latrines with the "required" Green and White two tone paint on the walls. They were doing renovations, but hadn't made it to our floor yet. Hell we still had working pay phones in the hallways. I got my first FNG prank on the phone there.
I've stood on the gates and seen Joe try to bring a "woman" in with a fake ID. Most of the time you give them a hard choice to make on the spot if you can, one that will save their careers, your hands from paperwork, yet let them know they screwed up royally. I've only had to argue twice, and both times the patrol Sup would finish the discussion in the MP Station with multiple phone calls. It never ended well for the Soldier, and I'm sure when the country cops came to get the teen, she wasn't the happiest camper either.

Standing post at the main gate to a Military installation you see alot shady stuff. I had a 17 year old LCOL's daughter come through the gate at 0130 with a 19 year old Marine LCpl and had the nerve to 1. pull rank and 2. threaten to call her dad. my reply was well Ma'am lets just go again and do just that. Lets call your dad and explain why I have his 17 year old child coming on base as 130 in the morning with a 19 year old lcpl. I walked to the guard shack to get the cordless phone and asked for his phone number. She changed her mind real quick. he got out the car and she got her salute and drive home. My Ssgt drove the young marine to the barracks. That ride was not silent.

Its a special kind of person who uses their spouse or parents rank, position or title. I think its attention seeking behavior and I guess that you helped her realize it's just better to blend in and follow the rules. Good job!

LTC Charles Blake Yes sir. My goal was only to keep that young Marine from doing something he'd later regret, even he wanted give me back sass. Messing around with a minor is bad enough but anding on messing around with an O-5's daughter is a special level of stupid.

Cpl Douglas Loven - especially when she wears her daddy's rank. but yes, the Marine needed someone looking out for him. I've always heard that junior Marines are not good decision makers - especially after midnight and/or drinking.

LTC Charles Blake individually a Marine is a fairly intelligent individual but once a female is involved or he is with his buddies after hours his IQ gets square rooted. I have countless stories sir......countless.
