I proudly give this award to Mr. Kanye West for his superior performance as a Black Man. He has shown there is more than a few ways to go out and disrespect your own. More than one way to dishonor and not even acknowledge your own history. There is a way that will make almost every Black person cringe knowing at one point, we (not all) believed in you because you are not a dumb person. You come from an educated household, and you too went and became educated and preached as much....until you lost your way. I hope on day you find solace in yourself and not constantly embarrass yourself and others saying comments that rationally make no sense, and are historically inaccurate. Maybe one day you'll come home, but I'm not holding out waiting for you. Too manty others who want to become what you used to be, ARE what you used to be but better, were never what you used to be but had pride in themselves.

As a Black man when you openly come out and say "Slavery was an option", don't qualify your statement until you begin getting all the hate imaginable (plus dropping an album doesn't hurt), Ye got what he deserved. When he said it on TMZ, one of the people there dug knee deep in his ass, and he has noting to say to refute the truth. Blame in on Bi-polar (I wish I could type here what I'm thinking in my head off that one). I wouldn't buy a damn thing he makes or sells. Thomas is a comedian, and like Ye is entitled to his opinion. Ye might not like it or him because his and many others opinion of him he doesn't like, and it goes way beyond his political stance. If you're looking at Hollywood trying to figure out Ye, you've missed the point already. Ye has a LONG track history of saying some really ignorant ish about his own people then blaming it on anything else BUT himself. When Katrina hit, Hollywood had nothing to do with his "Bush doesn't care about Black people" comment next to Mike Myers. When he said "Obama didn't do enough for Black people", Hollywood had nothing to do with that and last time I checked the President isn't President for a particular race. He represents the entire Nation.
I don't care that Ye is a Trump fan. That's ok, and I respect anyone who supports Trump. It's their choice. I don't care he doesn't like Obama. Lots of folks like that, and some are even Black. BUT the second you want to say Slavery was an option, once you get told to your face that a particular segment of society doesn't want you there(they tolerate you only because of the press your wife and her family bring to the table), but you bend over backwards to "fit in" while they laugh at you, but refuse to allow your own the same opportunities you want someone else to give you, I have an issue. You go on Black radio stations and openly disrespect the host who is only asking you simple questions (Sway in the morning), and end up with one of the most famous quotes ever "You don't have the answers Sway...you don't have the answers". Sway was asking YOU for them, and YOU couldn't answer them, so of course he doesn't have them. But you rose up on him, and he put you right back in check. How are you going to tell people the 13th amendment needs to be abolished? "The 13th Amendment is slavery in disguise," he tweeted. "Meaning it never ended. We are the solution that heals." Man....if ONLY I could type how I feel about this clown and not get it removed...…..

When I look at Ye now, I see every bad example of Black people who suddenly have "made it" and decided to just turn away from who and what they are. I see every name in the book, and I use most of them to describe him. Has nothing to do with his political slants, or his family. It's all him. I see a man who's Black wearing Blackface. I see the man tapdancing with the required stupid grin on his face and his hands out looking and reaching for something that isn't there. I see a man who if it weren't for his money, wouldn't DARE walk the same streets that welcomed him and supported him before he made it "big". The ones who bought into his idea and ideals with his first few albums. A man who was positive while speaking of the ills of the world, and how they can be overcome. That man in LONG GONE. Lucky for him, the racial draft is over. He wouldn't get picked or traded for anyone. I'd definitely pick Racheal Dolezal over him any day. She was fake, but she was fake in a manner that actually helped some folks. No one wants to be Black if you're not already Black. Ye doesn't want to be Black and he IS black.

Want to see how many Blacks feel about Ye, go spend two hours looking at Django Unchained. Skip the Jamie Foxx character and look and listen to Samuel L. Jackson character. That's how many (not all) see him as. I damn sure see the real life Jackson in Ye.

You only get Freedom of Speech if you're a liberal. Conservatives or Trump supporters don't have that right, apparently

Everyone has freedom of speech. Conservatives prop up celebrities who they agree with and tear their others down. Democrats do the same. Same old stuff different day.

I honestly thought Kenan was very tame considering how disrespectful Kayne West was by holding a liberal cast and audience hostage to espresso his views without the chance to debate him. He was a guest on the show invited to sing, not to give a Suprise Trump stump speech.
