I feel for the people of Kansas City, but at least Ford is reinvesting in Detroit, not Mexico. The tariff is just an excuse in the short term. Ford's prosperity on Wall Street has not been close to what GM has been the past decade, mainly because Ford chose not to accept a bailout when all the others did and they have paid the price for it. My family and I are proud Ford Truck and Lincoln owners because of that. I think once the new trade agreements are in place with China, then the plant in KC will be back to full strength.

CMSgt Randy Beck Sure Hope So. Now as Far as "Detroit" Kansas City Replaced Detroit as "Motown" "Motor City" Some Time ago with both a General Motors and a Ford Plant here in Kansas City. Ford F-150, Ford Transit, Chevy (GM) Malibu and Cadillac (GM) XT-4 All Made Here.

After being stationed in Europe for years and having owned foreign Fords and Vauxhall's, I will take a North American product any day over one of the European models.
