Yes, but I chalk that up to anything produced in the US costs more. You must decide, Made/Produced in USA, or cheap, we can never compete with lower costs in other countries, so it's a fundamental decision we all must make.

I have been reading up on the increased production due to innovative ways for production. I think we have some of the higher production costs in the world.

That isn't surprising, just about everything made in US has higher production costs. A some point you must decide what you want, US products or cheap products.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I think this is due to cheaper labor costs in various parts of the world. The first world nations invest in plants in countries with cheaper labor. This gives the countries the technical, technological, and production knowledge needed to stimulate their economy. This can be seen in the evolution of Japan, Korea, and China.
