I thought having an older bike kept me away from recalls. Went to the dealer to get a new ignition switch for my sons 2001 Sportster, wanted a switch keyed the same as the original, they punched in the VIN and said "That bike has a recall for the mirrors" it doesn't have stock mirrors on it anyway.
