The Internet server company that hosts the controversial social media network Gab has been subpoenaed by Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, the office confirmed.
Gab is a social media site that has been criticized for providing a platform for white nationalism and anti-Semitism. The suspect in the Pittsburgh synagogue shootings last month was a Gab user.

I am very troubled with these happenings. On one hand: no one in their right mind wants to spread hate; on the other hand: where does one draw the line in silencing free speech. In out country I believe we must allow any voice as long as it doesn't directly threaten violence against others... if not then we become Russia.

Gab is the response to Twitter shutting down so many voices. A lot of sites/services have popped up over the last several years with the basic statement of "we don't block anyone". Unfortunately, that also means it is not blocking real threats either.
