If I recall correctly Jimi served in the 101St Airborne and was a Jump School Graduate. I believe he may have received a General Discharge however!!

Great article because tomorrow is Hendrix's birthday. He was born November 27, 1942.

I was stunned when I first heard it, agree, "a rupture" of sound. Then, I listened to Jimmy playing. It was soulful, deep and meaningful. Still rocks to this day.
