It appears $2 billion was spent making appointments and $6 billion on the appointments.

I read this article in yesterday's paper. I am a bit concerned that the "Government" will attempt to use this funding as justification to reduce or redirect appropriations from the MAIN FUNDING of any/all of the Veteran's Health Care system!! In my case, the "Veteran's Choice" was a complete FLOP. It did nothing for me, so my eye appointments were a year apart, and when I did FINALLY receive my prescriptions for my glasses, they had to make THREE sets of glasses for me due to "personal error". Due to my Multiple Sclerosis, I see triple (Nice when you are looking in your wallet), and I have "corrective" lenses to bring it down to double vision. The lowest bidder contractor for glasses could not figure out how to make the glasses properly! ( FRUSTRATING )
