It's a mess and very frustrating. I am not happy that McMaster and Mattis have left to go back to their corporations or their boards. Those two men are geniuses but what can you do if the president won't agree with them?

One correction, it’s not up to the President to agree with them, it’s up to them to salute, about face, and do as they did. I respect all these former high ranking military leaders and their accomplishments. However, if one feels his advice is ignored, resign. Just as when they were on Active Duty. My one issue with really senior military professionals in politics is they tend to forget what CINC means.

MCPO Roger Collins I agree. The Superior/Potus makes the decision. I am not losing sleep over it.

The Senate doesn’t advise and consent anymore. They do political theater. Kavanaugh was more than qualified but Democrats wanted to investigate a high school keg party 30 years ago.

Kavanaugh is a perfect example of the rubber stamp machine, dude threw a temper tantrum and lied in his own confirmation hearing and was still confirmed.

Had the senate done their job this would have been the end of his confirmation process.

A great history primer. Old and new history. I knew about the 1 vote short for impeachment for 19th Century POTUS Johnson but I did not remember what for. Thanks!
