Just goes to show when a team goes 15-0 even with a Government shutdown the current POTUS knows how to celebrate!

Trump also owns a hotel a few blocks away in DC. He could have easily arranged for the staff at his three restaurants there to prepare something...

[MAJ Eugene Chu, MBA true he could have. I'm glad he though that he gave capitalism an opportunity to work by just paying for Wendy's, McDonalds, Chick Fil A and the Pizza restaurants. It also left clean break between his old and current job i.e. no conflict of interest.

The White House couldn’t ever serve Grits, even for Alabama!

"...Shortly before 1 p.m., White House officials gathered the team in the State Dining Room, at the opposite end of the South Hall from the East Room, where the ceremony would be held..."

Irrelevant rebuttal. Obama's ceremony for Alabama back then was in early afternoon after normal meal time. Trump's ceremony was specifically for a dinner and players got what they could have received back home.
