Haven't we had that for 8 years, giving subsidies and government grants to so called green companies only to have them fold after a couple of years and walk away with the money.

But they never gave enough. Isn't that the argument for socialism? Sure, all those other attempts failed. Why? They didn't do socialism right. They didn't go far enough.

More liberal green BS from the mental giant of the house, Occasional Cortex. Read about Georgetown Texas. Georgetown is a community of 71,000 that went totally renewable energy. They bought contracts for wind and solar energy. In order to insure adequate power ( those forms of electrical production are unreliable). Energy prices fell and Georgetown is stuck with multi million dollar deficits. I als remember Solyndra, Ener123, Bright Star, Fisker Motors etc leaving American taxpayers losing billions of dollars. Please excuse me if I don’t get to excited.
