All this does for me, is to wonder why the hell are we involved in a civil war? Once the USA gets involved in a mess like this, our enemies feel they need to oppose us. Many times humanitarian transgressions are less before the combat to save them, than when all the assistance comes from foreign intervention.

I do not understand this quote. How can Sunni's be right wing when they are Marxist based? The ideology of Islam is like Nazism. Nazis are National Sociolgists but believe in one party and control of speech. Sunni Islam believes in one true group (theirs). Or, you are an Apostate. See Shia Islam, the Kurds, or those who leave Sunni Islam.
The Turkman may have more culture ties with Turkey. But all Sunni's waging war are following Muhammad's orders to do so and to form a Caliphate.
So, Nationalism for them would be more along the lines of Turkey being at the head of the Caliphate. Not loving Turkey like we might love America.

The above pic appears to have three individuals with their finger in the air. One has his pinky too. I do not know what that means. But the one finger in the air means they worship the one true god of the Kaaba called Siin, or Hubal and known to the world as my/the god of the Kaaba (Allah).
