The Filipino government is playing both sides of the fence. It placates China and wants strategic defense from the US. However, the Philippines acts as though they are doing us a favor with a strategic alliances. The Filipinos have the gall to blame the US if hostilities occur.

Interesting sense I saw this post! I will let you in on one of many my wife and I had as I went back to 'Nam 52yr's later for my 2nd Tour of Duty! Oh You bet! It was a Fact Finding Tour this time! I had heard about some of my brothers being flown back to "Nam and they would LOVE THE FORMER ENEMY! Well I had talked to some WWII Veterans and they said it just sounds strange to me! They can raught in Hell! I took those coments and all of the Videos about 5 over the last 50yr's about the Vietnam War and they end up with the South Vietnamese soldiers and people running for their LIVES! No what I learned on my 2nd TOUR a thirteen day Car Trip from Hanoi to Saigon was that in 1975 THE CHINESE CAME IN AND TOOK ALL THE DIRT UNDER EVERYONES FEET AND leased it back to them for 50yr's at a time! Then that the RE-EDUCATION CAMPS ARE GOING STRONG and everyone knows about them! I heard from one of our 5 Guides that oh this looks like a Natural Drought but it is caused by the CHINESE TURNING OFF THE WATER ON the border of China and Vietnam and hense reducing the Watr flow to the Rice Farmers in the South! She also was so very interested in what I had to tell her about the War sense she felt that she gotted a very jaded view of the War! Lastly anyone who can GET OUT WILL GET OUT AND THAT WILL BE FOR ALL ETERNITY! Well maybe there is HOPE if Pres. TRUMP can make things change in North South/North Korea THERE MIGHT BE GOD WILLING HOPE FOR THE South Vietnamese People to one day be able to call Vietnam HOME ONCE MORE!!!! That's all for now! Oh sense I have returned I have been talking to everyone that I know has lived in Vietnam at some time to see if their views were similar to what I/we had seen and heard about on our visit! Sure enough their views were identical and understandably were some what reluctant to agree! I should say they were sad! Very Sad! They all reflected that they Vietnam is always mentioned that the people are Happy! They agreed that "The Smiling Faces were Hiding the Sadness that they feel and have to deal with regarding every part of their lives including trying to convenes their teen children to go visit their Aunt/Uncle or some family member to be able to live in FREEDOM not COMMUNISM/SOCIALISM!!! Sense their children have learned that going to visit a RELATIVE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY THAT HAS "LIBERTY AND FREEDOM" THEY WILL NEVER RETURN! Did I tell you about the Lady that just arrived at each of the Homes that had a special needs child that we visited and STOPPED HER MOPED ABOUT 50YR'S AWAY AND JUST STOOD BESIDE IT AND PROCEEDED TO WATCH US! I noticed her and leaned over and whispered in the ear of our 2nd Guide Who is She? He said Oh No worries SHE IS FROM THE PARTY"! She will just watch she won't talk to us! I wonder if AOC has ever lived Under Communism/Socialism that SHE THINKS WOULD BE SO GREAT FOR US IN "AMERICA"!!!! SP/5 Cates signing off!
