I truly wonder, Rick, what would happen to or how our existing laws would change if we kept GOD out of everything. I’m not talking about abolishing religion, just removing its overt influence on our laws. I’ve had this discussion with some hoity toity theologians for some time. They make it clear that the US of A would not exist. As to the issue of gun control, liberals have not learned a thing. They bring religion into the discussion and then it goes haywire. Leave God out, then debate.

"Removing it's overt influence" would destroy our legal system, as it's based on the 10 commandments, just like most legal systems of the "Western" world.
