We live in Virginia. Our son thought he might like to go to UNC at Chapel Hill. He was WAY over the required scores and grades. They told him the only way he would likely get in was as an athlete and then his scores and grades wouldn't matter. He toured the campus and talked to students and decided he didn't want to be there after all.

WOW UNC prides itself in it's sports program, at least teach the players to read at 10th grade level !

SGT (Join to see) I know. When I got out of Army in 1980 I went to NC State on the G.I. Bill. I was in an experimental World History class. Only 12 students around an oval table. Three football players in the class. No hiding like in a normal class. They did not fair well !
