There's so much information and misinformation about climate change that the most prudent thing to do is to follow the money. In the 70s it was global cooling and we were all going to freeze to death in less than 20 years. Next came global warming which is easily debunked by pointing out that it's based on data collected since the collapse of the Soviet Union and comparing it to prior data. The problem with this methodology is that the collapse of the Soviet Union resulted in the loss of 50 percent of the cold weather reporting stations in the world. The studies today that indicate that man has a significant effect on the climate are all paid for by governments and industries that profit from it.

Climate change is occurring but man has little to no effect on it.

There is a lot of alarmism intended to politicize the issue. That the issue is so politicized makes it difficult to discuss without some sort of polarity - as if we can dictate what "mother nature" and the universe do, and when.
However, there is so very much we could and should all be doing to stop fouling our own collective nest and our individual nests also, which can actually make a good difference.
