Good Red Friday morning RP. Today's image is titled "M104: The Sombrero Galaxy." M104 is located in a galactic supercluster located in the constellation Virgo. Six Hubble pointings cover this magnificent galaxy whose apparent diameter is nearly one-fifth the diameter of the full moon.

This, by far is my favorite galactic Picture Maj William W. 'Bill' Price! I thank you for sharing this with us on the last Friday of March! When one examines in detail this galaxy, edge on, it is so refined, so perfectly positioned star by star by star! It does resemble a sombrero, or a fine porcelain bowl or plate! It seems perfectly symmetrical, with its light so evenly cast into the Cosmos...
