During my time in the Army, being Gay was against all rules. I knew and served with several women who were Gay. It never mattered to me what their sexual orientation was, as long as I knew they had my 6 and I had theirs. I looked at everyone I served with as soldiers, nothing more.

We need the personnel PO1 William "Chip" Nagel and they need to concede a slow sustainable plan of implementation.

Why is this dysphoria even being entertained? There isn't such a thing as a man becoming a woman, or a woman becoming a man. The thought of being something you are not was once considered, "make believe" and goes away when we mature. When all is said and done, DNA will show their true nature. If those that want to live as the opposite sex please, do so after serving. Can a HUMAN do the job? YES...Serve being human and not labeled for what ever political agenda you have. Besides wouldn't you worry about serving with someone who has a but of an issue with reality? The last time I checked - MEPS had criteria for entrance, and currently, those in "transition" are medically chaptered out.
The lifestyle you choose is personal, it shouldn't be forced on your battlebuddy or the American people to pay for your treatment. It isn't a life threatening issue and can wait till after serving.
