China's projects help no one except China. Funny, we do not see China doing environmental impact studies in these other countries.

It's damning to watch our "allies" get seduced by the belt and road initiative. They want a global footprint, and our "allies" don't realize or care that the mission of the US to defend countries becomes more arduous. I prime example is Australia selling a 99 year lease of Port Darwin to China.

Issue is that some of the countries that China is building in are authoritarian dictatorships (e.g. Pakistan, Zimbabwe, etc.) or are free countries slowly becoming authoritarian (e.g. Israel, Argentina, etc.)

This will cause an environmental crisis down the road that will impact everybody.

Not sure China is worried about that. I do not recall it in their 2025 or 2050 plan.
