Check out this museum next time you are in Calgary. I was allowed to go in for free showing my military ID. My Wife's Great Great Grandfather was the #2 Sniper in WW1. They have a display or diorama on him along with his spare rifle. Corpora Henry Norwest had 115 confirmed kills. He was picked off just before the war ended so he is buried in France.
Canada participated in WW1, WW2, Korea and Bosnia. They still have peacekeepers in many places and recently, they fought ISIS in Iraq and now have soldier in Latvia and the Ukraine training those nations to defend against Russian aggression.
