Read this last night. I buy lots of ammo not for stockpiling but for shooting !

I think common sense is a great guide. Any "shootist" knows the skills are perishable...so you have to shoot often to shoot well. Anyone who shoots, does so for one of three reasons; because they just enjoy it, because they consider it a necessity, or because it is made a necessity by their profession. In all three cases, the box of ammo you buy today is like the jug of milk you buy tomorrow... it's not going to be full for long. Considering the price of milk, if it could keep indefinitely... the smart person would "stockpile" it... the unwise person would hope for the best...and the hopeless person would stop drinking milk.
