China and Russia could likely be searching for the crashed Japanese F-35. If they successfully recover it, it would represent an intelligence nightmare for the U.S. and NATO.

Not sure why China would be searching for it, they just hack our defense contractors and steal the plans, heck look at their latest fighter, looks allot like the F-22, because they hacked everything they could and stole every piece of information about the F-22.

There is always the possibility that some of that information was faked then intentionally slipped to them to throw them off. Plus, the true crown jewels of recovering an intact F-35 would be getting access to it's radar system and stealth coating. Intense study of those two systems could vastly increase the fighters vulnerability.
