In a statement responding to our questions, Michael Glassner — the chief operating officer for the campaign — said: “We have made it clear all along that all of our merchandise is 100% made in the USA. Any vendor who claims to have a relationship with us otherwise is lying or violating our protected trademark rights.”

“This applies to all of the recent fake news about Made in China products for the 2020 campaign,” the statement said.

A search of the campaign’s reports for “collateral” shows many other payments for products such as T-shirts, mugs and hats — but none to the Chinese factories in question. Many purchases are from Ace Specialties in Louisiana and Cali-Fame in California.

If it fits too neatly into your bias... best to fact check it first.

1SG (Join to see) - I'm sorry... what is your point? None of the items listed in your article has anything to do with Trump Campaign merchandising.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see how one set of lies (President Trump's) justifies another, (USA presumption the President Trump or his campaign are contracting with Chinese Companies for campaign merchandise).

I'm not surprised when a politician lies/misleads, I am when a news organization does.

Maj John Bell - My point is that I read and evaluate each post on fact check.org on their own merits. There is not irrefutable proof that campaign merch is not being supplied by Chinese companies. Conservatives are quick to use factcheck.org when it suits them and call it liberal media bias when they do not.

1SG (Join to see) - One of the basics of any college level course in logic is that you cannot prove a negative.

As stated attached link, "It does appear, according to multiple news accounts, that items for Trump’s 2020 run are being manufactured in China (or at least they were prior to the implementation of the announced U.S. tariffs on Chinese products). But it is not proven that any of the materials were actually ordered by Trump’s re-election campaign. It is a charge the campaign denies, and campaign finance records back that up."

Maj John Bell - I'm not claiming they are. I am just not convinced due to the lack of hard facts. I am not convinced either way...get it?

Oh my gosh !! They have also found where over 50% of stuff we buy is being made. Look kiddies,,,, it will take some time for the Made in the USA to be more prevalent than they are.
Also there are many jobs that probably should stay in china.
Sorry if I'm not shocked or amazed.

Even if true, so is most of what you buy at much or most stores like Sears,Michael's, Walmart, Target, your local auto parts store is made in the Peoples Republic of China,(Communist)Taiwan Republic of China ( Democratic). These stores would be nearly empty if we had 100% embargo on Communist China.
