Maybe to hide the damage was the reason, only the author of the email knows for sure.

You can not blame trump for this It appears that his staff was just trying to prevent a tantrum,even his staff does not trust him to act like adult.

Reporter Claims Name Of USS John McCain Covered During Japan Trip. Then More Info Comes Out.

A Wall Street Journal reporter with a history of anti-Trump bias claimed on Wednesday that the White House covered the name of the USS John McCain during President Donald Trump's recent visit to Japan — which was later disputed by multiple sources.
