Great to know as diversity is growing more and more as we are encountering more and more of our fellow Americans are of different races and cultures.I believe it is a vital tool for our military to have linguists readily available and everywhere.

Sgt Pedro Perez One of My Favorites to work with was a Spanish Native Speaker, Russian Linguist. Just Amazed Me watching Him Jump between 3 Languages. Wish I Could Do That.

Just want to point out that enlisted linguists in the navy (as well as army and marines, I believe) are commanding bonuses of $25K. Incremental bonuses up to $8K for college (bachelors gets the $8K). Also, I think Navy is awarding $10K if you ship out by end of July 2019. Note: Bonus total is capped at $40K, but some folks may be eligible for all of it...on a gross pay basis, of course. Death and taxes, shipmate, death... and... taxes. DOH!!
