Equipment hidden in caves will probably Drive President of Russia Vladimir Putin crazy just like when the Canadian Army has 415 soldiers stationed in Latvia and his propaganda machine goes nuts even though he has two divisions on the Russian side of the Border facing a few thousand latvians. I don’t think the Russians are scared of a couple dozen tanks on their borders. I’m not sure it’s a good idea to even have prepositioned equipment in a location where our adversaries can easily find and destroy.

We do have pre-positioned equipment in Europe. We did so in the Cold War and then we sold most of it off to our allies and now we have it again. We used to have reforger exercises what stands for return To forces Europe and we would have American reinforcements cover down on existing equipment already there. We are doing the same thing again on a much smaller scale ever since the Russians invaded the Crimea and now the polish government is inviting us back to keep equipment in Poland.

LTC Stephen Conway We also had lots of propositioned equipment in the CENTCOM AOR during the 80s. Face it, there is no way to quickly respond in any region if there isn't some equipment already on the ground.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I’m pretty sure Europe can hold their own against Russia, at least long enough for us to deliver equipment. We still don’t have enough equipment in Europe to make any significant difference from a Russian invasion.
