Good morning RP. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Spiral Galaxy M96 from Hubble." Messier 96 (M96) is 35 million light-years distant, and spans 100 thousand light-years (making it about the size of our own Milky Way). Also known as NGC 3368, the galaxy is a dominant member of the Leo I galaxy group.

Good Wednesday morning Maj William W. 'Bill' Price!!! This is an intriguing Spiral Galaxy in that most of the young stars are in the apparent one spiral arm, with a very dense center. The size of this galaxy is somewhat close to that of the Milky Way... I found a video that details some interresting facts about M96 and thought it worth appending to your APOD!
