Good Red Friday morning RP. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "A Solstice Night in Paris." Our new friends from earlier this week noctilucent clouds make a return showing in this stunner. As you can see in this photo, the City of Lights had an exceptionally luminous evening the night of June 21, 2019. According to Spaceweather.com, extra moisture in the mesosphere has super-charged this summer's noctilucent clouds, allowing them to be sighted as far south as Rome, Italy and Los Angeles, California. No one can predict exactly when they will appear. Tonight could be the night where you live.
Observing tips: Look west 30 to 60 minutes after sunset (or before sunrise) when the sun is just below the horizon. If you see luminous blue-white tendrils spreading across the sky, you may have spotted a noctilucent cloud.

Sort of seems to be "sand" with tracks in the sky...we had a small bit of that earlier in the week Maj William W. 'Bill' Price but nothing quite so impressive as that.

What an extraordinary APOD, Maj William W. 'Bill' Price!!! There looks to be waves in the sky over Paris!!! I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like this, ever! Awesome!!!
