Nike Nixes ‘Betsy Ross Flag’ Sneaker After Colin Kaepernick Intervenes

Well, my friend SSG William Jones to be honest I am not surprised that Nike caved in
and agreed to not distribute "a U.S.A.-themed sneaker featuring an early American flag after NFL star-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick told the company it shouldn’t sell a shoe with a symbol that he and others consider offensive, according to people familiar with the matter."

I can't remember if I ever purchased any Nike products and I certainly have no plans to purchase Nike in the future.

Kaepernick has no real constituency nor even a real platform. This is pandering on Nike's part to the whiney, pathetic left. I couldn't read the full story but it appears he found the flag offensive. The fact that Nike gave in tells you all you need to know about that gutless anti-American company.

I gave up on all things Nike a year or two ago. There are too many other products to buy. I spent a ton on Nike products for many years, not another dollar.
