Police fired for suggesting Ocasio-Cortez be shot

Capt Gregory Prickett You say stupid things and you get what you bargained for. Now they are out of a job. Rhetoric like that can get someone killed. There are too many crazies out there who may have seen his post and decided to do something about it.

Apparently, they didn't get the memo.

Capt Gregory Prickett Capt Prickett---you and I have sparred over the past couple of years but on this one I agree...they should have been fired. Although I abhor AOC and the other three and a whole lot more than that in Congress (on both sides of the aisle) but comments that they should be killed are wrong, and those especially by the ones sworn to protect us, use that rhetoric they need to go. Same goes the other way as well. When members of congress incite riots by speech they should be held accountable as well. I.E., Maxine Waters “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up,” the California Democrat said at a rally. “And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” Calling on folks to harass and form crowds. We know crowds turn into mobs and so on.

BOTTOM LINE...I agree they should have been fired. There is no place for that. Like Buford T. Justice said in Smokey and the Bandit...you can think it...just don't do it.
