Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "IC 1795: The Fishhead Nebula." Located 6,000 light-years distant in the constellation Casseopeia, IC 1795 is represented using the Hubble color palette for mapping narrow emission from oxygen, hydrogen, and sulfur atoms to blue, green and red colors, and further blending the data with images of the region.
Small housekeeping note: "IC" stands for Index Catalogue, a reference manual created by John Dreyer in 1895 and 1908. He also published the New General Catalogue of Nebulae and Clusters of Stars (NGC) in 1888, building on the original works of Sir William Herschel.

What an awesome Picture of the Day Maj William W. 'Bill' Price As i usually do with these fascinating photos, I had to see if there was anything on IC 1795: The Fishhead Nebula and I came across a very short clip by the actual Photographer of this Photo...
