Russia really isn't for or against any candidate per se. If they do things in support of Tulsi, that in and of itself doesn't reflect poorly on her. The Russians or looking for ways, through propaganda, to weaken the US and make any actions we may take against them less effective.

Why would NBC News promote the Russian Campaign by mentioning it publicly and asking the Candidate on MSNBC directly if she was under the influence of the Russians. It's very 5th grade if you ask me.

SPC Erich Guenther - $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, that's why. The same reason why we see clickbait titles on posts.

For a less pessimistic legitimate reason, it's so we are reminded that the Russians are still at it.

From the article.

“Gabbard was mentioned on the three sites about twice as often as two of the best known Democratic possibilities for 2020, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, each with 10 stories. Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren had fewer. In each case, the other contenders were treated more critically than Gabbard, with headlines like "'Don't Run': Vermont Paper Begs Bernie Sanders Not to Seek US Presidency in 2020" and "Sexist much? Biden blames 'conservative blonde woman' for shutdown, 'forgets' Ann Coulter's name."
