This guy fails in several ways when talking about prayer and God.

First off, the source he went to for answers was an atheist. Good job buddy. I guess if your next article is on getting in shape, you'll go to an 800 pound person on their death bed and ask for advice. Seems logical.

Probably the biggest mistake he made though is one that is made all the time by multitudes of people. Whenever a tragedy happens they point to the sky and say "Where is God in all this?". So, why don't they do that every day? How many people are murdered across the country and the world every day? How many die of cancer every day? How many people are sold in to human trafficking every day? Yet no one questions God then. Why not? I guess because it doesn't make the mainstream media. All of these things, shootings and cancer etc., are a result of sin. And for those who have read the Bible, you'll know that God DID do something about sin. He conquered it on the cross. What He didn't do was promise to spare you (or me) from every single pain and hardship on this earth. What these people who expect God to remove all pain from their lives really are wanting is Heaven. Well, the good news is Heaven is real. We're just not there yet. But by putting your faith in Christ, your sins can be forgiven and you can enjoy the everlasting peace of Heaven.
