Red flag laws will be misused by the gun control advocates. This will lead to more and more gun restrictions on gun owners. It won't end. Unless we vote them out of office.

These laws can/will be expanded. You are a DUI, risk, there goes your car.

The agenda of the left is to completely remove all firearms from the civilian population. No matter what evidence shows other methods of death are far greater than guns, liberals will never stop attacking the 2nd Ammendment.

CPL Douglas Chrysler This doesn't seem to be a left or right thing. There is a large amount (and growing) support on the right for gun restrictions. This is all tied into the fear created by mass shootings and we need to find a way to deal with that.

McVeigh blew up a federal building and suddenly there were all kinds of restrictions on the purchase of fertilizer. The only reason it hasn't happened with guns is the 2nd amendment and a large amount of support for gun ownership. But as the mass shootings continue, that support has declined. We need to find a solution to the problem before public support falls too far.

SPC Kevin Ford - Do you think the government just "discovered" the an-fo bomb after that incident? Not hardly, because the government had been using an-fo bombs for many years. That was just a good "excuse" to restrict ammonium-nitrate sales.

McVeigh was just a "patsy", because, had that bomb been powerful-enough to do that much damage to the Murrah Building, it would have leveled half of downtown Oklahoma City. There was something INSIDE the building that did the majority of the damage.

SPC Kevin Ford - I would suggest the first step to prevention of mass-shootings is to ban "gun free zones". In particular, the repeal of the "Gun Free School Zone Act" that has guaranteed mass-murders that they will have the only gun (with the possible exception of a uniformed, identifiable "first victim" -- a School Resource Officer) within 1,000 feet of the school.
