Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "NGC 2170: Angel Nebula Still Life." Found in the constellation Monoceros, this massive, star-forming molecular cloud is impressively close: 2,400 light-years or so away. NGC 2170 is roughly 60 light-years across. I think the backdrop of stars in this one is particularly stunning.
